Once Again

The wedding was beautiful and really relaxing. I had my first pedicure/manicure, which was pretty interesting. We were in this little town called Ojai
I don't think I could live in a small town. It was really peaceful for a few days, but I think I like cities much better. I have to sort through bout 3000+ photos at the moment, so that stuff will have to wait. It was hilarious to see my family whip out their cameras. And the full arsenal of DSLR, too. The photographer probably got a kick out of that one. But my problem was that the reception was too dark and I had to manual focus. And looking at the results, I must say I am SUCH a n00b at it.

John Green knows exactly why it's so awesome to be a nerd. :42

And I FINALLY watched Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Yeah, sure it was all character development. But you know what? I waited a whole extra half a year for that thing! AND it's HARRY POTTER. I LOVED IT!

I've read a few books so far this summer. Death of a Salesman, Slaughterhouse Five, Northanger Abbey, Fruits Basket (even better than television), and currently One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Nothing totally out there, but I figure I need to read those classics. Yes, that includes the Fruits Basket.

Is it just me or have those Warheads candies and the show Monk just disappeared?

Paper Days in Paper Towns

I remember when everyone used to sing Grillz all the time. Or maybe that was just my school...
I feel so behind with photography and all that, but hopefully I'll come across something.

This is simply amazing. It's a forest made out of a small paper bag, in a small paper bag. It reminds me of this beautiful paper art(picture from Oh Joy!, "link in the sidebar* finger mustache) by Yulia Brodskaya. And sort of related to that, this stunning paper crane chandelier. Maybe if I work really hard at it, I can make one of those someday.

This is a little bit of a boredom reliever. I can't really get any sort of rhythm going, but maybe you'll have some luck with it.

I don't remember if I've posted Abridged Becoming Jane before, but it never gets old.

John and Hank have asked for another punishment. They haven't done one for a long time. I was watching some old school vlogbrothers yesterday and I realized they haven't really come up with anything new in terms of Nerdfighter inside jokes. Last year it was all Strawberry Hill and peeps with some books "in my pants" and waxing John's chin. But there hasn't been much of that lately. I hope this one brings that old school Brotherhood 2.0 spirit back.

Have a good week. I hope this sent you off quite well.

If you're confused about the above, see my "obsessions". =D

Awkwardness and Flickr Tips

This is like the awkwardest thing I've ever seen two mannequins doing. O_o. Oh, the interesting things you'll find at the mall. Have you ever been at the mall at like 10 at night?? It's really dark. And the escalators are turned off. Well this is what I saw two nights ago setting up for the Alzheimer's walk at 8. The food court was almost completely empty and it just made for a good picture.

Today was not nearly as exciting as Ari's because it was spent doing HOMEWORK!!!! blehhh but thank goodness for the weird Tuesday break coming up. Election day! wh00000t! I'm way too energetic for this time of day. But I'm mostly a night person anyhow.

So it's getting kind of chilly today and gloomy. I don't know about you, but I really like that kind of weather. Growing up in the desert does that to you I guess...

Ok, I realized that a lot of our blog so far has been us talking about life and stuff but I think it's time also to give to the readers (which will hopefully grow exponentially like a petri dish of bacteria on a warm, humid day. NERDFIGHTERS! Go Harry Potter! That was for Zamaika. =D

Well my first thing to give is to you Flickr users who can't seem to get enough comments/favorites/views.

Tip 1: tag your photos! Unless someone searches your username, your pictures won't show up on searches.

Tip 2: join Flickr groups. There are thousands of groups to put your photos into. All you have to really do is join the group and then add your photo in, and just like magic hundreds of users will be able to see your work. This is also a great way to see other people's work and meet other people. You can join multiple groups so don't feel like you're commiting to anything big. Some of my favorite groups are:

Young Photographers-because the new age of photography just amazes me.
Colors and Colors-because...well just look at this blog's name.
I Love Nature-because we all should!
I Love Black and White-because white is the culmination of all colors and black balances white.

On one final note, I'm really loving the song Can You Tell by Ra Ra Riot. It's just amazing when you can hear the band is having a good time just making music together.
